How am I going to paint a sunrise? (“intercoastal sunrise” day 1)

My assignment for last week was to paint the second of three oil paintings I have been commissioned to do. In the previous week I completed “milk can” and then this past week I completed “intercoastal sunrise.” Two paintings down, one more to go! All three of these paintings are from photos I was provided […]

Dinner party at Famster HQ

My friend Kyle had a dinner party on Friday night and we were invited! As I was getting ready to walk out the door, it dawned on me that we were heading to FAMSTER Headquarters! So I grabbed my camera, and went there ready to snap some photos of the FAMSTERS in Kyle’s studio. On […]

painting “milk can” (Day 5)

It’s the final day of painting “milk can.” I was hoping to finish up within an hour so that I could move onto starting my next painting. Unfortunately, my estimating skills are shamefully inaccurate. painting “milk can” (Day 4)

Today the FUN begins. I finally get to paint the BLUE MILK CAN. The part I’ve been waiting for all week! Here’s my progress on this fourth day of working on the oil painting called “milk can!”

painting “milk can” (Day 3)

I’m on the third day of my painting called “milk can.” Here’s the photos of what I worked on today… Is anyone else crazy enough to photograph their daily work? E-mail me hour-by-hour photos of your “work” — whatever that may be — and I’ll post the most interesting collection on my blog. 🙂

Here’s photos of my second day of progress working on the commissioned painting called “milk can.”

starting a new painting! (“milk can” Day 1)

Summer Vacation is over in Greenville South Carolina. That means my son is back in school and I’m back in my Studio! Last week I was hard at work starting the first of three commissioned paintings for a collector of mine. This series is actually inspired by three photos that my client provided me with. […]

Back home in Indiana…

We spent a relaxing week in Indiana, visiting our family and friends in the beginning of August. I love the summer in Northern Indiana. Nothing beats the views of lush, green fields accented by red barns. It’s Christmas for your eyes (without the snow!) Here’s some photos from our most recent visit, along with some […]

A quick visit to Indianapolis…

Towards the end of July we headed North to visit our families in Wisconsin and Indiana. We decided to split the trip up and spent a day/night in Indianapolis. If you’ve never been to Indy… it’s worth the trip! (But I definitely prefer it in the summer.) Here’s a few photos from our trip…
