Last weekend I delivered three paintings to three different people who live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My first delivery was to New Berlin, WI where my painting called SUNFLOWER #2 is now owned by a happy couple named John and Janet. If you had been watching the posts on my progress painting this piece, you could have read about how ga-ga Janet was over this particular sunflower as she left many kind comments. So John decided to surprise Janet and buy for her, this most thoughtful gift for her January birthday.
They decided to save on the shipping cost, and waited for our next trip to Wisconsin to visit family, when I could deliver it to them in person. So they we thrilled to finally receive their new oil painting. Ironically, the flower which inspired this painting was growing in my garden when we used to live in Milwaukee.
Here it is hanging over the fireplace in their family room. It is the perfect addition to their already lovely French-Country decor. The gold in the flower brings out the tan highlights in the floral couch and drapery fabric.
A view from the living room...
Some of the other art in their family room. A French landscape and a spring table-scape Janet designed.
A fun Easter Bunny collection is another one of Janet's creations.
The beautiful centerpiece she created adds a vibrant touch to the beautifully set table for their family Easter dinner.
Here's the happy couple with their new piece of original art. Can you believe they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in January? How cool/inspiring is that? Happy Birthday AND Happy 40th Anniversary to John and Janet (my great parents!)
